When not saving the world and writing drabbles, wabbit's secret identity is a veterinary surgeon. She's a superb source of information on animals in general and dogs in particular -- she helped me avoid several embarrassing mistakes when I was writing "Aftershocks" and needed a dog to behave realistically.
*whines* I wanna be a proper grown-up with an actual job and career, instead of being a little peon!
Maybe not-whining would be a good step in that direction.
My best friend (whom I can't see anymore, due to not being a proper grown-up and her not being one at all) wants to be a vet of some kind.
And this is very good information to know.
I don't know how realistically I could write dog behavior, but my mom says I do a pretty good impression of a dog's internal monologue when I'm in such a mood as to try.
Hey! Some of us peons prefer to be called *lemmings*
But, I do feel the same way about wanting a real career. I tried -- I really did -- but my body just didn't want me to become the cop I wanted to be (or even military for that matter).
I'd love to work with critters -- they really are superior to humans (well, I can think of at least 2 people I'd like to be around...) If only they vet tech on-the-job training...
>: I'm sorry that didn't work out. I'm concerned about similar things with my body not cooperating, but I'm going to keep trying until that option is exhausted.
And I wish many things did on-the-job training. I like being educated, but I don't like waiting so much.
