Ah, true. Firefox is not a good platform when what you want to do is grab content off the internet and save it off the internet. It's also lousy when the content being grabbed is an image.

But I adore it for plain browsing, because with AdBlock and a couple of other sweet little add-ons, it means no ads and no nasty malware.

You can try IE Tab (a Firefox add-on), which toggles you in and out of IE on an individual tab, while still actually in FF. If that doesn't work, well . . . honestly, when I want to capture something off the net (usually a screen capture), I open IE, copy and paste the URL from FF to IE, get what I want, then close IE and go back to Firefox.
