Warning! Specimens of Tsuga Canadensis and Pinus Strobus have been spotted in the area. Use caution when approaching them.
Most people tended to look a tetch nervous and say that they had understood that there were no poisonous snakes in the area, or did this refer to spiders?
My uncle then delighted in telling them that the sign referred to Eastern Hemlock and White Pine.
One of my cousins was sure to add "Treed, by God!"
It pleased my grandfather (a Latin prof) too, because it proved his contention that the world was much the poorer for the decline of Latin in the lower school curricula.
