How to Feed Your Troll

As most people know (or can guess), I keep LOLMac as a very 'public-facing' journal.  For example, I allow anonymous commenting -- some of the people who like to drop in and enjoy aren't on LJ, or don't want to use Open ID, or whatever.  My only regret for these commenters is that they might not see the replies to their comments, unless they check back.

However, I retain the right to remove, with extreme prejudice, any comment that I find offensive, or that I feel is incendiary.  I cheerfully admit to no scruples in this; I want LOLMac to be a safe place to drop in and hang out.

So why am I blathering along instead of posting a silly picture?  Okay, here's a picture.  (It's a re-run.  Click to embiggen.)  More blathering under the cut.



This morning, I deleted three abusive comments from LOLMac:  two anonymous comments, and one from a sock puppet,  It seems that there's an obsessive lunatic out there on the intranets -- whoda thunk? -- with a vicious grudge against a specific person in Stargate fandom.  This troll's latest wank is to track down the friends of the friends of the woman she's targeting -- yep, that's right -- and spam them with demands that they 'stop enabling the trolls', which seems to mean 'dump your friends or I will stalk you too'. 

Yeah.  This bitch came onto my own journal and demanded that I ban my friends, anyone who's a Friend of her primary target.

Well, you can imagine how well that went over.  I have now Friended the primary target.  So, I'm now a target -- and I already was anyway, given how wide the red circles are being drawn.

I'm expecting that there may be more spam.  It's possible that there may be abusive comments posted in response to comments left here.  It's your choice:  if you ignore the comments, I'll delete them and report them as spam, and file another harassment report.  If you choose to respond to the spammer, please feel free to be very rude and offensive and bitch her out to the max.  Sweet reason does not work on this psycho.

I am informed that she particularly hates Harry Potter, lesbians, and country music, and that she loves furry porn, creationism, and ABBA.  If you aren't able to ignore the troll, please yank her chain hard.  We might as well get some fun out of this, right?

ETA:  Woohoo!  I've been banned from one of her sock puppet journals!

ETA2:  Haha!  She just posted an anonymous threat here!  I've unscreened it so we can have fun with it.  Gosh, apparently I pay people to do my bidding.  I always wanted minions, but geez, I gotta pay them?

Oh come on, is that troll at it again!!??!!?! I thought we got rid of that idiot a long time ago. *shakes head* It was entertaining to watch that buffoon make a fool out her/himself at the time, but I felt so sorry for the person who was being targeted. No one deserves to be treated like that.

Let's see, I like Harry Potter and have a son that refered to it as "crack in hardcover", got no problem with lesbians, but I am personally a flaming heterosexual and grew up with and still enjoy country music, Johnny Cash anyone? Gee, I guess that means she won't be happy with me.

I used to be Obsessively HUGE into Harry Potter, but more Severus Snape, am no lesbian, BUT was accused of being one. Love Abba, but can't stand Country, at least not most of it.

Dang, you'd think when people get older they get wiser..
however there is and always will be an exception to that rule. Sorry that you've to go through this, I've been there, I've had my time and share of that Cyberspace BS.

I'm new coming into all this craziness, too and it boggles my mind to think there really are people this petty and childish around.

But I've also met a ton of really cool people because of it so...
