word of warning . . .
I just had a mystery Friend add me to his/its Friends list -- 'eorpada'. The journal consists entirely of blatherings about a get-rich-working-at-home-with-US-government-grant-money, and the profile is randomly assembled crap and a Friends list that looks like it's half composed of porn stars.
If you go to the Support page of LJ, there's a link for reporting suspected bots, which have apparently begun to crop up in numbers. I have reported 'eorpada'. As far as I know, I can't remove myself from his/its Friends list; but if anyone knows a way in which this can be done without directly interacting with the bot, please let me know.
