rda_daily Gatecon finally begins with a bang – a day dedicated to the Sea Shepherds, beginning with a one-hour talk and Q&A with Richard Dean Anderson and Captain Paul Watson. The highlight of the hour may have been when RDA was asked if his family had any maritime heritage, and he replied, “They were Vikings. We used to rape and pillage. We’ve given that up, though.”
Watson then pointed out that he’s now a pirate – since the Sea Shepherds are regarded as pirates by some of their adversaries. RDA seemed to like that idea.
