I love this movie - i've only recently seen it and whilst the plot makes no sense whatsoever and is utterly cheesetastic (sort of like the other tv movie, which is also pure cheese - there's no university in London like that, etc), its jolly good fun.
I hate to point out to the makers of the movie though, that the AKG headphones he picks up towards the end are open design studio cans (though i cannot immediately place the model, they look like akg 240s, perhaps the sextett model)- and therefore wouldn't have done much in the way of hearing protection.
And the cord is detachable. He could've pulled it out rather than tucking it in his coat pocket, even if turned them around between takes so the cord wasn't in the way of the camera.

He makes a great model for them though, blimey.
