I saw that it was stolen and I approve of this sort of piracy.

And the Ancient Egyptian Laser Beams are a recurring joke in YuGiOh the Abridged Series because in the original series the "Millennium Items" would completely randomly exhibit the ability to be weapons even though they typically weren't. Applied Phlebotinum and such... That scene was the Abridged Series' take on the first incidence of this. This is the second:

This is just one of those cases of me being a strange little thing called a child of the 90s. I was in the age demographic when YuGiOh was coming on TV so I have a soft spot for it, in spite of it making little to no sense. Apparently ancient Egyptians used to "duel" with big monsters that were magically summoned out of giant slabs of rock but the rocks were buried because of how dangerous they were. Then the souls of three (I think, maybe four) people from that era get trapped in one of 7 Millennium items which some Japanese archaeologist, who subsequently owns a comic/game shop, comes across and gives to a little boy, who just so happens to be the reincarnation of the Pharaoh trapped in one of them. And somehow all of this has to do with a children's card game that sprung forth from Ancient Egypt into modern Japan. ...here's me trying not to get a hernia from suppressing really childish and inappropriate laughter at the thought of a crossover *cough*

The thing I learned from YuGiOh: When people are deeply grieved, they go to Egypt. Now we know why Daniel decided to become an expert on it.

Here, if you want to waste some of your life with really strange pop culture references an 90s anime dub parody-ing. Parodies are always, fun, but I'm sure you have better things to do.

....like convincing me it's a bad idea to have SG-1 characters playing card games for their lives.

If you do waste time, last one is the funniest in my opinion and provides (a tiny bit of half-assed) explanation for the Ancient Egyptian Laser Beams.

Yeah.
