Indeed.

Been there, done that.

I was thirteen, and my best friend and I both went through. Fortunately, the water was shallow and it was close to spring so it wasn't crazy cold and we didn't have skates on. We were playing on beaver dams out on a lake by our houses. I slipped, then he slipped, and we both crashed down onto the frozen water to one side of the dams. We both sunk right in to our hips.

We got real cold legs that day, but we lived.
