Well, I just finished disabling the ticky boxes in this journal and all the comms I moderate, so I guess he's stuck with pieces of paper. How . . . quaint.

You'll see the boxes if you're looking at the post on your flist, and you haven't turned them off in your own style settings. Even though you've disabled comments in your LJ, you'll still see the boxes when you comment elsewhere, if you're looking at it from within your style settings.

You'll want to cut and paste the Super Magic Kill-da-Ticky-Boxes code into your CSS.

Blissfully easy and quick to do. You don't have to know what CSS is; just follow the instructions.

(CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheet. It's the magic coding thingy that causes your LJ to look like your LJ and not like mine.)

P2 did what they said (I looked at the instructions, blinked, and turned it over to more capable hands), and of course, at the bottom, there's a bit saying it may not work.

Permission granted.

However, first, tell him to make sure he pasted the code exactly (and that he was logged in correctly), and that it went into the Custom stylesheet box and not the Entry Footer HTML box, or any other box.

So far, I've used this code in six different layouts, and it's worked for all of them; but there will inevitably be layouts where it doesn't work. You can try changing your layout, or viewing this journal in my style, or waiting for LJ to fix it. Or try C4.
