LOL, no, I bought the hat myself! ;-)

(Well, a hat of similar structure anyway. Mine's black, more cowboy-hat than fedora in shape and style, and by now fairly battered, since I've been wearing it summer and winter since 2004... my fashion sense isn't any better than my mother's, just very different. *g*)
