Seriously -- I've been going back through Reverb, reposting it to AO3, and wondering "How the hell did I come up with all that stuff? Was that me?"

I recently went back through some of the stuff I wrote in high school and my early 20's (I'm 46 now). Granted, some of it made me cringe, but then there were paragraphs or dialogue that made me stop and say "Did I actually write that?" I mean, damn... that was some pretty good stuff! Not sure I could reproduce it today if my life depended on it!
