Hi, everyone, this is lolmac's partner, emmelisa, posting to her account today.

I'm sorry to have to tell you that she is in the hospital, due to what may be appendicitis. She's under observation for now, in the hopes of getting a more definite diagnosis. In any case, she won't be able to post the usual Lolmac today, and the possibilities for tomorrow are unclear at this point.

She apologizes, and promises to have more LOLs just as soon as she's up to it!

If you're up to the task of getting the current round started at 5 pm your time, I'd be very grateful for it. I hope to be able to be there, but I'm trying to be sensible about delegating responsibilities and all that.

You'll need to make two posts: one to the '48 comm to start the 'rush, and then one to the main comm announcing that it's started. On the post to the main comm, link to the starting post on the '48 comm, and (important) disable comments to the post -- you want to push the traffic over to the '48 comm. (Some people have the main comm on 'watch', and only start tracking the '48 comm when the announcement goes out on the main comm.)

I have just added posting and moderating privileges for you on the main comm. *waves magic LJ mojo wand*

Eeeek! No apologizing! Just getting better please!

I've been admitted for the same cause before (turned out not to be appendicitis, but with two parents who had emergency appendectomies, I am a better than average candidate). It was not fun just having symptoms without getting the diagnosis, so I hope you don't have to get all competitive and overachieving, and score that diagnosis!

I hope all the symptoms will cooperate and do a vanishing act, and you will soon be back to making the interwebz a place of creativity and clever humor.

I hope you feel better really soon, Beth! I greatly appreciate the fact that you never seem to forget about me, no matter how long I'm away, and I never forget about you. I got on here mainly to look at your macros for a bit and happened upon this post. I was released from the hospital a day and a half after being admitted. There's a long post on bethinexile aacout it, with as few icky details as I could manage. I did not have appendicitis, but I did lose a lot of blood.
