I am tickled by the irony that Mac's new line of outdoor gear is remarkably similar to the team outfits for the figure skating club that my girls are involved with. I trust that the rucksack is not strategically hiding the figure skating tights and skirt!
[Disturbing mental image is disturbing, and cannot be ousted from mind's eye!]
However, given the choice, I prefer the outdoor gear in the icon.
What?!!! He was outdoors. At the beach. Why do you ask? Yeah, well, the hot need to be kept hot, so they are disinclined to resort to layers.
I personally cropped that image, and I can assure you that he was not wearing a skirt. I can't vouch for the absence of tights; they might have been under the pants.
Heh. If my pet mountain isn't completely snowed in, I'll be hiking on it -- and that will require gloves. It was mostly snowed up in late June, on my last visit! November is technically waaay too late, but . . . *shrug*
Setting aside the whole business of how it will be in the 40s and 50s in general, when I've just spent a whole friggin' year in the 80s . . . I haven't lived in a place where it actually got cold since I was in grad school. I'd be wearing them in Seattle by November even if I hadn't been exposed to blood-thinning climate change.
