Water Football: Because water polo was suspiciously un-American. (Besides, how do they teach the horses to swim?)

I understand horses swim quite well, but it makes for a very splashy sport.

I teach swimming, and have since I was 14 (for pay since I was 15). When most actors swim, I cringe. Their form is usually execrable. Notable exceptions have been Katherine Hepburn, Tom Selleck, and RDA. I knew he was going to have good strokes when I saw him tread water in that episode with Henry Gibson as the former silent film star. People who tread water using an "eggbeater" kick are experienced and coordinated swimmers. I was pleased to note that when I got to see him actually swim, as opposed to tread, I was right.

I got such a kick when I finally saw clips from this (thank you, Youtube). Howard Cosell getting caught completely off guard by RDA the Human Torpedo!
