Sigh. Mac! Come bash the thick heads of the owners and the NHLPA together so we can have some NHL.

Yes, this! Head bashing! It's in the finest tradition of the sport!

Well, I tried to come up with something witty and original to say about this, but I've just been sitting here thinking "What a sweet smile. He really almost never lets one of those loose in character, only in person, and that's just such a shame!"

Speaking of RDA.com, did you see the clips from Paris that Kate Ritter posted recently? I was enormously amused by the one bit of new information I gleaned from the long one. In France a Leatherman is known as a "macgyver", and what had me rolling in the isles is the fact that the tinpot Caribbean dictator in Honest Abe got the pronunciation just right. Now this should not be a surprise to me (I speak French, and I'm well aware of French pronunciation) but still, I can't listen to the woman on the clip without it echoing the fellow in the episode. Rather loudly. *heehee*

Yeah, I agree. Jack is a darker character, his role in the show is different, and that different approach is appropriate.

Still, even in the earlier seasons of MacGyver, it seems to me that what we get more often is the slightly diffident smile that seems to be a staple of the man himself, and the broad full-on grin of laughter, but not this one, which is somewhat between the other two, and probably rarer overall. But this may be the effect of still photography, catching an inbetween instant too...

And now that I've overtalked that one, off to today's 3rd and 4th grade soccer game!

Butting in to say that your icon made my day! Hee! Too funny! Can I snurch it?

Feel free! Anyone has carte blanche to snurch any of my icons, with the exception of the happy infant on her bouncy horse (Eldest Daughter) and the one of a kid with her mouth open in a shriek of startlement (The Whirlwind), because I feel odd about having my kids wandering about the interwebz without me.

Yes, exactly.

Oh, and by the way, you knew that I meant "rolling in the aisles" not "rolling in the isles", right? There are islands in Vermont, but most of they are quite a drive from here. It's been kind of wet around here lately, and I have no desire to roll around them.

*sigh* This is my most common form of error, and it is not amenable to spellcheck. On the other hand, now that I've finally noticed it, the odd image of me rolling around the Lake Champlain Islands (no doubt shrieking and drumming my heels after a hard day dealing with The Whirlwind's temper tantrums without visibly loosing my own cool) did add great amusement and a fair amount of tension reduction to my day, so I guess there's that.

When I roll, I prefer sourdough. It's the kind that elevates my blood sugar the least.

It's got a lot to do with hockey. Whenever RDA is on the ice, this gorgeous happy grin comes out.
