LOLNaySay: 2009
Ah, but what of Jack? He made his first appearance in the third and fourth LOLs posted. This one from 2009 is my partner's all-time favourite (and one of mine). It's also one of the most ambitious manips I'd done to date.

Stargate caps tend to be dark, and it was Jack's fault that I had to learn how to handle light levels. This screencap is from the
sg_one_a_days comm (now, sadly, defunct). Late in 2009, I also started using caps from
sj_everyday, which has become one of my best sources in the last couple of years! My attempts to find a good source for Jack/Daniel themed caps, alas, have not been successful.
I mostly do manips to improve framing: I try to keep the proportions of the LOLs consistent, and close to square, going no more than 3:4. As a result of the manips, I now know that RDA's face is so symmetrical that you can flip it right-to-left and it doesn't look subtly wrong, which is, or should be, wrong.
Over the years, Jack has tallied up about a third of the total posts, with Mac getting about two-thirds. This is partly because I started with MacGyver and only gradually picked up on Stargate, and more because the MacGyver screencaps give me a much wider variety of activity portrayed, which means a better range of ideas. At present, of the 173 episodes in which Jack appeared*, I've done LOLs from 135; of the 139 MacGyver episodes, I've done 127, plus both movies.** I also haven't done any LOLs from Continuum yet.
*Including SGA and SGU, but counting two-parters as a single item, and not counting backstage shots as episode-specific.
**Yes, I'm keeping track. I'm a geek. You should see my master spreadsheet of LOLdom!

Oh, but these flashbacks are fun, and the fact that you have a spreadsheet surprises me not one bit. Also, it makes me love you just a little bit more. *hug*
