Well, in the scene in the show, he's bending over a flambéing widget. It might not be a bad idea to burn that shirt, but not while he's in it.

OMG! This one is worse than the usual run of Mac!shirts! What did he do, steal a baby's receiving blanket, and have it made into a shirt?

LOL . . . in Phoenix Rising (which is set between S1 and S2, and covers the massive intraseason changes), I do a running riff on Mac's sudden move to horrible shirts. In the course of the story, he buys the first of the flowered shirts, and he's given this one in the epilogue as a joke. It's partly blamed on Mac being tired of having to wear boring subdued colours while operational.
