It's the naked truth that I wish you and Missy a very delightful Christmas.
I got all the requisite buying and packing done in time, and finished the last of the wrapping and Beloved Husband's present at 5 a.m. this morning, but fortunately, coming from a family of night owls, I was allowed a full 5 hours of sleep.
Best of all, people loved what they got, and I was able to delight in spreading joy.
Nothing complicated. He wanted a subscription to a local newspaper, and a check written to a local charity that is a neighbors helping neighbors program. It wasn't that it took so long to do his bit. I saved his for last, knowing that it would be something I could do even when tired and rushed. It was all the wrapping and stocking stuffing that took all the time. There are 17 of us here today, and they all have at least one gift. Some of them have periChristmas birthdays. Middle Daughter, for instance asked mainly for CD's for Christmas, which meant a ton of fiddly wrapping. So visiting with family until 12, wrapping until 4:40, chat with Middle Brother for 10 minutes, buy subscription and write check for 10 minutes, GO TO BED - HALLELUIA!
