Okay, so we've established that it's a tall breed, but what group does the Gesund display in at dog shows? Is it a working dog, a companion animal, a hound? I've never caught wind of which it should be, although I've been sniffing around the Kennel Club lists.

I don't know what the official term would be, but judging from all the snuffling, it's clearly a tracking dog with a keen sense of smell.
