Yup -- I've been saving this one for special. The entire tribute week was put together to lead up to it!

Appropriate...I remembered a few episodes very clearly from the TV viewing years and this was the one I recalled most vivdly. I mean, the avalanche, and Pete kickin' ass and takin' names getting them to search for Mac *gets a little verklempt*. Then the comic relief portion of Pete's sidekick stint kicked in (ah, the disparaging attitude about the tofu as the injured houseguest...*snark*). It was such a delight to get it back on the tube when the DVDs became available.
I've always been a "buddy story" type, I guess.
If ya' gotta be a human, might as well have a *few* you like, I say...
(but let's not get *crazy* ;) )

Oh, yeah . . . somehow almost all my stories have ended up being Mac-and-Pete stories . . . actually, only one of them so far hasn't. Something about the dynamic just warms my socks (always a good thiing in an avalanche).
