Once again, can anyone identify this episode for me? Yay! Episode successfully identified by kirsty841 !! Episode: Seth, Season 3 Screen Capture from: the rda.com forums
I went one step further! I *got* the darn flight gloves (I used to wear the green version when we flew in teh H-40's out to Santa Barbara Island), and lopped off the fingers. Made niiiice for my costume!
Fingerless gloves are not only a fashion statement -- they actually work :) I use them while horseback riding in place of full gloves so I can keep a better feel on the horse's mouth. They're also handy for hiking when there's a tree or super steep hill that's just begging to be climbed.
But as an enhancement to those lovely hands that RDA has, they're just...well... ::sigh::
The only time I had to wear them was my first job post-graduate school; I was working in the costume shop of a local theatre that had heating for the admin offices, but not the parts of the building where we spent all our time working with our hands, oh no. I felt like Bob Cratchit.
Especially the day when I had to go drop something off in the office of the Head Honcho. I was all bundled up in a winter coat and heavy socks and a knit cap and fingerless wool gloves, and she looked at me with complete puzzlement and asked "Is something wrong with the heat in the costume shop?"
"There isn't any."
And no, she never did anything about it. Just blinked in befuddlement.
