For the first time ever, LOLMac celebrates Talk Like a Pirate Day! (Which isn’t till Sunday, but I don’t usually post here on weekends.)

He gots nuthin to say.

This LOL, and the one coming up on Monday, are all pepper_field’s fault.   (So was yesterday's.)

Arrr, but it be TALK like a pirate day! It's the plank for Mac!

MACGYVER wobbles carefully out the plank at swordpoint, hurriedly clipping his SWISS ARMY KNIFE to the end of a bit of light but strong wire he'd unravelled from the brig's klaxon. A TICKING noise is heard off-camera.

HOOK: It's that bloody croc! Man the five-pounder!

The flurry of activity in manning the gun distracts HOOK and the crew long enough for MACGYVER to toss the KNIFE over the end of the yardarm, and wait for it to swing back to him... he then backs up a few steps, pushes off the end of the plank, and, Pan-like, swings inboard, spins, and, swinging back, slams HOOK overboard with both feet in the back.

HOOK: AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH-
CROC: *wet crunch*, off-camera

In the confusion over the loss of their left-handed leader, the crew doesn't see MAC loose a lifeboat over the leeward side. He quietly rows a short distance away, doffs the leather jacket, uses the awl from the KNIFE and the wire to tie a zippered edge, upside down, to one of the oars, stuffs the other through the sleeves as a boom, and sets sail into the sunset.

MACGYVER [swears silently to himself]

Pan up to deck of pirate ship, and peer into the *other* LIFEBOAT. A RAVEN pokes at a BLUE DUFFEL monogrammed "A.M.". The RAVEN succeeds in opening the DUFFEL a bit, retrives a GOLD COIN, and flies off with a squawk; we can see the glint of more inside...

... or not...

That's happened two or three times so far -- I get a comment showing up that's obviously part of another thread in another journal. I just delete the comment when it happens. In this case, it was part of a Harry Potter discussion (and not a very interesting one, by all indications).
