No, Mac. Going ahead and filing that stolen car report with the police would still be the prudent thing to do, no matter what the fellow tells you he saw.

I'm really hoping that my good car won't be raptured. Those 5 months of tootling around in a hell-bound lemon of a vehicle would be ghastly.

At least when it was people I felt that I'd be down here with the interesting people.
