Other little known children's classics: Papa Berenstain's Tractatus, and Christopher Robin's Republic, in which Winnie the Pooh comes to understand that his den is a shadowy reflection of the real world. (However, he doesn't want to leave because that is where his hunny pots are.)
Let us not forget Heisenberg's The Cat In or Maybe Out of the Hat, and Schrödinger's The Live Owl and the Possibly Dead Pussy-Cat (neither of which was very successful).
My catch is for the best in this best of all possible worlds?
Mac RDA can recycle a little disparaged philosophy from Voltaire when he recycles the can.
Or perhaps a little Inspector(?) Dreyfuss from the Pink Panther movies: "Every day, in every way, I'm making the environment better and better."

I can see why GQ would want to feature the man, but really, this photo shoot was really very silly wasn't it? It's not as if RDA didn't have enough activities and interests that they couldn't have shot him doing something he might actually want to do!
Well, they showed him camping and fishing and gallivanting out in the woods, which is definitely in his line. They added a level of predictable stupid humour, representing him as not actually being any good at the Rugged Life -- breaking down and not being able to fix his car, going fishing and catching empty cans, etc. -- which was idiotic but not surprising. After all, it was a flippin' fashion shoot, starring Oh noes! Not!MacGyver, this is Richard Dean Anderson and he's Not The Same Thing, See!?!
I got rather a kick out of how this LOL turned out, really -- he ended up looking more pensive than peeved.
