A computer irritates James T. Kirk:

"Everything I say is a lie. This is not a lie."

Computer conveniently confuses to death.

A computer irritates Jack O'Neill:

"Damnit! Where did you put my report on Planet Pig, you piece of crap?"

"No sir! Don't-....

shoot it with the zat!"

A computer irritates Daniel Jackson:

"I clearly entered the code for the cuneiform typeface, and you keep giving me Roman letters! Will you please explain this? Look! See! Code!"

"Daaaniel. Even I know that talking to the thing won't fix it."

"No, Jack. I hadn't noticed. Perhaps you should solve the problem?"

"Okay. CARTER! Daniel needs help with this thing."

A computer irritates Teal'c:

"This machine is no longer functional. I will need a new one."

[impressed silence]

A computer irritates Sam:

"Carter? What'cha doin'? Problem with your machine?"

"No sir. I just want to increase the processing speed a bit and install a naquida battery, so that it will not need to keep being plugged in to recharge. I'll put it all back inside by the time I'm d-- DON'T TOUCH THAT, SIR!"

"Ohhhhkay. Not touching. See? Hands in pocket. Can I stay?"

[indulgent smile] "I think the Homer yo-yo I got you is in the top drawer of the file cabinet, sir."

"Sweet!"

"But if you are going to Round-the-World or Walk-the-Dog, please face that way."

"Roger that. Facing away."

This commentfic brought to you by The Whirlwind of Destruction's tummy bug which is bad enough to keep her far less active (i.e. in one easy-to-supervise place), but not bad enough to dampen her spirits or cause bushels of extra laundry!
