You have to wonder if RDA helped pick out his own wardrobe, or if the costume department was trying to see if he would wear whatever they gave him.

I mean, it's not *that bad* of a design, but around here, it would be attracting hummingbirds and fuzzy bees for miles...

Y'know, I'm not so sure about this "shirt's gotta go" thing. I mean, if that shirt were just released, unsupervised, into the wild who knows what might happen? Empires crumbling, entire ecosystems destroyed, the planet turning backwards on its axis . . . the mind reels.

Yes, the shirt has to be dealt with, but it needs to be a careful process. It should be removed slowly, in a darkened room, so as not to startle him -- er, it.

Much more fun -- I mean, much safer, that's right, safer -- for everyone that way!

Releasing the shirt

The worst thing is if a feral shirt interbreeds with local wild shirts, it could permanently ruin the gene pool, causing defects for generations. My Danny & Jack rescued a couple of mullets that were released into the wilds of Malibu, and while ours was a success story (they now are popular cartoon characters), I cannot guarantee the same for a shirt that closely resembles "old lady" housecoats that my mother was always trying to foist off on me. Better it is mercifully refashioned into a shower curtain, as it was obviously meant to be.

Yeah, I'm originally from SoCa, so I know just what happened with the botched Polyester Integration Experiment. That was a result of too many research grants being handed out indiscriminately to "scientists", whom I suspect had sampled some of the local vegetation prior to the release of the test subjects...you don't *really* think those polyesters got out all on their own?

The worst part of it is, knowing how little Daniel loves taking up lost causes, I'm afraid my cartoon kid is going to come home with a rescued shirt...(evil plot bunny looming!). Stay tuned.
