I'm trying to work out the theme that unites buffalo soldiers and Norwegian skiers...

If Jack were in the ridiculous banana yellow sweatshirt he wore the hat with in Window of Opportunity, then I'd say it's simply bad fashion sense, but with the ski parka that hat isn't too out of line.
