Yeah, well when I lived outside Philly, outside New York City, or in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan, and I told people when my birthday was (in mid-April), the reaction was always "Oh, what a lovely time of year! Daffodils!" Now that I live in Vermont, the reaction is always "[grunt of disparagement] Mud season! [regrunt]"

It is a cruel month here, but it's kinda like having a somewhat anti-social kid. It's my month (plenty long enough for me to share) and I love it anyway!

I'm no fan of spring myself. I grew up outside Cleveland and now live in Maine, so...yeah. Ugh. Just so messy. But that's about right for me, I guess, so it all works out. ;)
