Pretty nice coffee mug shot, Mac.

Really good coffe is worth fighting for ;). Luckily when I'm home it's just a five minutes' walk and 80Eurocent for an espresso.

It's a cheap café; a more normal price could be up to one Euro. It would cost more (I suspect) in Milan/Venice/Florence, less in Rome and southwards.
Competent-barista-made espresso and quality durum wheat pasta are the two things that are cheaper and easier to find in Italy than anywhere else I've been. On the other hand, finding a Venti Latte might be impossible in the whole country.

Apparently threatening his good coffee is the one thing Mac will shoot you for!

I guess I was filtering my interpretation through the fact that I know that this is the one point in the show where he actually uses a gun in its most traditional manner.

Still, coffee is a very worth cause, and one I can get behind. Uhhh... swallow. In massive quantities and pretty darn strong too.

I like mine [suggestive eye-batting] strong, hot, and sweet.

When my son was four I was at a local inn helping our town's (pop. c. 945) parent's club do the prep work for a meal that would be served by the inn as a fundraiser. The assembled kids of all the parents were playing around inside and outside the inn. Suddenly all the kids went silent. They'd all been shocked when the innkeeper's son had drawn a very real, and very fortunately unloaded handgun on my son. Apparently his dad had not properly secured his weapon. Vermont has no gun laws which would apply here, so the gun was taken away, the son was scolded, and that was the end of that.

So yeah. I think that they should all be wrenches.

I prefer wrenches. That kid was messed up, and a little mean. I'd rather not have had him beaning my kid either!

Do you know how difficult it is to keep a barista on the payroll on top of a plateau Somewhere in Eastern Asia? They're parachuting away as fast as we can kidnap hire 'em! lol
