Obviously if I'd spent less time taking French, German, Greek, and Latin, and more time taking Russian, I would have been able to spell that!

It simply occured to me when I saw the "zh" that I'd seen that combination of letters used for that sound often when Russian is transliterated, such as in names (Nadezhda, as a name, for instance).

Eldest Daughter was a Russian major in college, so I did have occasional exposure, and one of her email addresses does have a "zh" in it.

I shoulda thunk.
