This post reminds me of a situation my sister-in-law got into. She is a faaaar more patient person than I am. So there she was in nasty Boston traffic when her two young daughters started some serious bickering in the back seat. Where was whining. There was crying. There were raised voices (uncharacteristic in that family). In the press of traffic it was quite a distraction. So she asked what the argument was all about.
It turns out that the younger daughter was stealing the elder daughter's imaginary jelly beans. "And she's EEEEEEEEating them!" [*sob*, *sob*] Now if these were my kids, they would have been told that they had to sit still and silent, and I didn't want to hear so much as the sound of their breathing until they thought they could get along again, but my sister-in-law simply asked them if there was some way that they could work this out quietly, and turned the full of her attention back to the traffic.
It was some time later when she noticed that there were happy sounds drifting from the back seat. So she asked them what they were doing now? They were sharing the invisible jellybeans.

If we don't git no tolls, then we don't eat no rolls.
